EB-2 Visas

What is an EB-2 Visa?

The EB-2 Immigrant Visa is for professionals who wish to live and work permanently in the United States and who possess advanced qualifications or exceptional ability in their field. This category covers individuals with advanced degrees, those with exceptional ability in the sciences, arts, or business, and those applying under a National Interest Waiver (NIW), which removes the need for a job offer or labor certification if the applicant’s work benefits the U.S. significantly.

 Visa Requirements

To qualify for an EB-2 Visa, you must satisfy one of the following eligibility pathways:

- Advanced Degree: Hold an advanced degree (master’s, doctorate, or higher) or a bachelor’s degree followed by at least five years of progressive, relevant work experience.

OR

- Exceptional Ability: Demonstrate a level of expertise in the sciences, arts, or business that is significantly above what is ordinarily encountered in the field.

In addition to meeting one of the above criteria, applicants must generally have a qualifying U.S. job offer and an approved labor certification, unless applying under the National Interest Waiver provision. All applicants must also show they will work in their field of expertise in the United States.

Benefits of an EB-2 Visa

- Direct route to a Green Card for you and your immediate family.

- Potential to bypass labor certification through a National Interest Waiver.

- Freedom to live and work anywhere in the United States.

- Suitable for highly skilled professionals and entrepreneurs.
